    Pre-Treatment Instructions

    3–7 Days Before

    • Avoid blood thinners such as fish oil, vitamin E, garlic and ginkgo.
    • Avoid alcohol.
    • Avoid NSAIDs such as naproxen, ibuprofen and aspirin.

    Day of Appointment

    • Tell your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of cold sores, have an active skin or dental infection, or have any new medical conditions.
    • Arrive with clean skin and minimal makeup.

    Post-Treatment Instructions

    First 72 Hours

    • Avoid touching, rubbing, massaging or applying pressure to treated areas.
    • Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and heat exposure.
    • Sleep with your head elevated if you are swollen.
    • Apply cool compresses intermittently.
    • Stay hydrated.

    First 2 Weeks

    • Avoid other cosmetic treatments in the same area unless your provider approves them.
    • Avoid dental work and dental procedures.

    Results & Expectations

    Swelling
    Common; most noticeable within 24–48 hours and improving over 3–7 days.
    Bruising
    Resolves within 1–2 weeks.
    Feel
    Fillers feel firm at first and soften over 4–6 weeks.
    Duration
    6–24 months depending on the product and your lifestyle.
