    Our commitment

Naperville Health & Wellness Clinic is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we test and improve the site on an ongoing basis.

We consider this site partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the standard is met, but some parts of the site do not yet fully conform. The specific gaps we know about are listed below, along with what we are doing about them.

Accessibility is continuing work rather than a finished task, and feedback from the people using this site genuinely helps us prioritise it.

    The accessibility menu

Every page carries a floating accessibility button in the bottom-right corner. Opening it gives you seventeen display and reading controls that apply across the whole site. You can reach it from the keyboard, and press Esc to close it.

    Text to speech

Have page text read aloud as you move through it with a pointer or the keyboard.

    Text and reading

Resize text up to 200%, increase line height and letter spacing, bolden text, or switch to a dyslexia-friendly typeface.

    Colour and contrast

Two contrast levels, two saturation levels, inverted colours, and a high-contrast black-on-white mode.

    Reading aids

Highlight links and headings, follow a reading guide that tracks your pointer, or simplify the page layout.

    Interaction

Hide images, enlarge the mouse cursor, and stop animations and transitions.

    Saved for next time

Your choices are stored in your own browser and reapplied on every page. Nothing is sent to us.

    Built into every page

These do not depend on the accessibility menu — they apply whether or not you change any settings.

    • A "Skip to main content" link is the first item in the tab order on every page.
    • Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on each control.
    • All images carry alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
    • Each page has one main heading and a logical heading structure beneath it.
    • Every form field has a programmatically associated label.
    • Buttons, links and dialogs expose an accessible name, role and state to assistive technology.
    • Pages are readable and operable at 200% text size and on small screens.

    Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the site falls short than claim it is perfect. These are the issues we are aware of and working through.

    Colour contrast on brand-coloured elements

Some text placed on our brand blue and brand green — including certain buttons, accent links and hero headings — does not yet reach the 4.5:1 ratio WCAG 2.1 Level AA asks for. Until the palette is revised, the Contrast and High Contrast options in the accessibility menu raise these to a passing ratio.

Heading order on a few pages

On a small number of pages the heading levels skip a step (for example a level 1 followed by a level 3). The headings are still descriptive and in a sensible order, but the numbering is being corrected.

    Third-party content

Some features are supplied by outside providers — our booking system, payment and financing widgets, and embedded maps and social feeds. We do not control their code, and their accessibility may differ from the rest of the site.

    Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter a barrier on this site, need information in an alternative format, or have a suggestion, please contact us. Describe the page you were on and the difficulty you experienced so we can respond quickly — we aim to reply within three business days.

If you need help booking an appointment or accessing any of our services, call us and a member of our team will complete it with you over the phone.
